Donald Hullings, Vice President and Director of Jones Edmunds in Gainesville, Florida abused his wife and children for twenty years. He controlled every part of their lives–who they saw, where they went, what money they had to spend, who they spoke with on the phone, and where they lived, among other things. If they disobeyed him, his punishments were swift and severe.
On September 30, 2011 in open court, Donald Hullings admitted to punching his 90 pound, 5’2″ daughter. According to Mr. Hullings, he punched his daughter in self-defense because she slapped him.
Witnesses, including Donald Hullings’ other children and his wife, testified that he punched his daughter so hard she flew across the room and landed on the floor and that his daughter hadn’t touched him. She was trying to calm him to keep him from punching his wife.
